Revised Travel Advisory for Bali

The alert level on Mount Agung in Bali continues to be at Level IV. The local authorities have declared an area of 9 KM radius around the mountain as the danger zone and has prohibited all activities in that area. Local authorities have assessed that the main tourist areas of Kuta, Legian and Nusa Dua, at present, do not face serious danger of any immediate impact in the event of an eruption. The authorities have advised that contingency plans are in place for situations arising out of airport closure following ash fall, in the event of an eruption. 

Indian nationals visiting Bali are advised to keep abreast with the latest situation through their hotels, airlines and tour operators and avoid the notified zone that has been declared dangerous by the authorities. Indian tourists may convey their name(s), place of stay and travel itinerary to the Consulate by e-mail ( so that they can be contacted in an emergency.
