Re-issue on expiry: An application for re-issue of passport can be made within one year before expiry of the present passport.

The following are the requirements for issuing a new passport:

  1. All individual passport seekers are requested to apply for the Indian Passport

through online application link by typing the URL http://passport.gov.in/nri/ and then click: Online Registration Form and select Mission: Indonesia – Bali

  1. Duly completed print out of online application form

  2. Four latest 4X4 cm size colour photographs depicting the applicant’s front pose against white background

  3. Alien Status (photocopy of KITAS /KMP)

  4. Old Passport in original along with photocopy of bio-pages of it (first page, last page and page with address)

  5. Fee: See Passport fees (http://cgibali.in/eoi.php?id=P-fee)

Applicants applying for a re-issue of passport are required to submit a photocopy of marriage certificate, in case, the name of their spouses have not been included in their respective passports. In case wife intends to change her surname after marriage, she should apply online for inclusion of husband's name in her passport. In such cases, husband and wife should apply simultaneously. Besides above, they should also submit the joint affidavit along with their joint photograph as per proforma given at Annexure-F.

Old Passports should be submitted for cancellation while receiving new passports. Cancelled passports holds valid visa and can be carried along with new passports for travel with valid visa.

Applications for re issue of passport which has already expired more than one year ago will not be attended.

Overstay without valid passport or visa is illegal and has to be reported to local Immigration authorities first. At the most, Consulate will issue Emergency Certificate to enable the individual to return to India.
