Snatching and theft incidents are the most commonly reported crimes in Bali. Snatchers on motorcycles typically snatch handbags and mobile phones from unsuspecting pedestrians.

* Do not place your handbag or purse on the passenger’s seat while driving; place your valuables on the floor or somewhere less accessible from the windows.
* Do not leave handbags or mobile phones on top of the table at cafes, restaurants, or bars.
* Do not leave your belongings unattended, even for a moment.
* Do not place valuables (e.g. money, mobile phones, etc.) in locations on your person or in your bag which are easily accessible by thieves. Always be alert and
attentive to your surroundings.
* Do not flaunt cash or valuables in public and avoid exposing jewelry or carrying large amount of cash.

It is requested that details of such incidents may be intimated to the area police immediately.
It is also advised to take adequate travel medical insurance while travelling abroad since medical treatment is very expensive in Bali.
